I praise you for your response regarding the events of 22 July. Too many people pay attention to the villain in these situations, not the victims. Thank you for helping to direct the light where it should be. Your personal account of what happened on Utoya has made me cry, for you and for the many others that were affected by this tragedy in Norway. I cannot even put into words why this horrific event has affected me so much. I am a girl in the United States, far away from Oslo and Utoya, but it makes my heart ache to hear what you, the victims, and the other survivors went through. So many young people full of promise and hope for the future lost in such a senseless act. Thank you for sharing your story, as difficult as it is, and for vowing to continue on.
