COSMOS is Norsk Data's distributed communication environment. It provides communication and application services to augment the services offered by SINTRAN III. COSMOS runs on top of the OpenLAN network, a TCP/IP-based network using standard protocols as FTP and TELNET.

Features

  • Easy to use for end-users, no knowledge of the network topology is required for the end user.
  • Works for both Local Area Network and Wide Area Network implementations.
  • All ND end user software can use the communication and network service provided by COSMOS.
