  • New categories - I just suffered an even bigger attack of 'category madness' than the one a few days ago (although thankfully they are less destructive than Dave Moon's 'TECO madness' :-); you can see the new ones here. Category:Standards (a new top-level category), Category:DEC Displays etc all appeared because we had articles that didn't fit well anywhere in the existing category graph. If you think I was 'confused' in any of that (quite possible :-), please take it here. Jnc (talk) 21:21, 13 January 2024 (CET)
  • Red links in navigation boxes - Unwritten articles in navigation boxes not only look ugly (well, I think they do), they also fill up Special:WantedPages with lots of spurious 'high-priority' (from lots of links to them) entries. Can I plead with people not to fill out navigation boxes with links to un-written articles? (A month or two of delay in writing them is OK; but please don't just leave them forever, and never get a 'round tuit'.) I have commented out all the links to un-written articles in our current navigation boxes (list of them here), where they will wait for the articles to be written. • Expandable navigation boxes - For navigation boxes which have gotten too large, there is now a way to hide part of them behind an 'Expand/Collapse' button; see Help:Introduction to Templates, which now contains instructions for both kinds. An example of an expandable one may be seen here. Jnc (talk) 21:39, 29 December 2023 (CET)
