If one tagged every article that described a DEC board with it, the cat would include hundreds of boards, with no way to select the ones one is interested in. (The MediaWiki software has no way to search for articles that are in e.g. ''both'' [[:Category: DEC Boards]] and [[:Category: QBUS Serial Interfaces]]; so adding the first category to them wouldn't add much to one's ability to find them - which is, after all, the ''whole point'' of the category system.)<br /> <br /> One could set up a whole new category structure of things like [[:Category: QBUS Serial Interface Boards]], and include all ''those'' sub-categories in the [[:Category: DEC Boards]] category, but that's just going to mostly duplicate things like [[:Category: QBUS Serial Interfaces]]; so, no benefit for the extra work.
