(My wife is getting ready for a trip to see the grand-children, and everything here is upside-down, and I haven't had any quiet time to really consider it at leisure; and for this project, there's no reason to rush.) On the one hand, it would be good to have a consistent naming system; on the other, our 'file system' articles mostly do talk about just 'what's on the disk', not 'how do the system and user interact with it' - although there is a fair amount of 'why' in several of them (e.g. in [[BSD Fast File System]]).
