<p><b>New page</b></p><div>Trs80gp is an emulator for Windows, Linux (including Raspberry Pi) and macOS. It emulates the Model I, II, III, 4, 12. 16 (basically a 16B), Tandy 6000, Videotex, and MC-10. In addition to these computers, it also emulates the DT-1 and Electric Crayon terminals. This is a brief tutorial for basic functions and is not a substitute for the documentation found on the emulator's home page.<br />

==Basic Operation==<br />
Besides the normal options for an emulator there are a few caveats. First, when you select a system it automatically loads a default operating system. These are built in and to save changes to these default images you either have to exit the emulator, change the image, or eject the image. This is only for floppies. For hard disks, you have to choose a file name and directory. Also, for hard disks they are only 1k in size until formatted using the appropriate OS.<br />

==Command Line==<br />
Although you can do almost everything from the menu system, it is highly recommended that once you tweak your configuration that you use the command line. For system selection you use options such as -m1 for Model I, -m2 for Model II, etc. Media selection is a bit different. You can select -d or -h for the next free floppy or hard drive slot, respectively or you can assign drive numbers starting at -d0 for floppies and -h5 for hard drives. For the default, built-in images you can use :td for the default TRSDOS image for that machine and :ld for the default LDOS or LS-DOS image for that machine. It is not recommended that you use the -h flag for the Model II, 12, 16 and Tandy 6000 systems until you complete installing a given OS since there is no way to override booting from the hard drive on those systems.<br />
