Dartmouth Time Sharing System

Dartmouth Time Sharing System - DTSS - first ran on a GE-235 with a Datanet-30 frontend in 1964. In the late 60s it was moved to a GE-635.
DTSS was the host for the first BASIC.
In 1972, a business was spun off as DTSS Incorporated. It was headed by Robert Hargraves, who was an associate directory and lead programmer at Kiewit Computation Center. In 1978, DTSS Inc was sold to Metropolitan Life Insurance Company; the Dartmouth system was renamed DCTS, for Dartmouth College Timesharing System.
