:: OK, done: the move of the ARPANET one, and setting up [[NCP]] as a disambiguation page. You get to add [[Network Control Program (DECnet)]] to the latter it once it is written. (That is probably the best name for it, rather than [[Network Control Program (VMS)]], since there is the RSX one, too. Although you could always set that one up as a redirect to the actual page.) Wrong NCP

The Network Control Program you linked to is 'not the NCP you were looking for'. :-)

Is there a longer DEC name? If so, you could put a page for it at that name, and we could turn NCP into a disambiguation page. If it was always called 'Network Control Program', we will have to move the existing 'Network Control Program' to Network Control Program (ARPANET), and the other one can go at Network Control Program (DECnet). I recognized the conflict myself and removed the link as a 'first aid'.
Yes, we will have to move the existing 'Network Control Program' to Network Control Program (ARPANET), and the other one can go at Network Control Program (DECnet).
I'm not quite sure if e.g. RSX-11 uses the same term, maybe we should even use Network Control Program (DECnet/VMS).
NCP is an official DEC term at least from VMS V2.0 onwards (maybe even since V1.0).
Citation from DECnet-VAX, Version 1.3 VAX/VMS Network Software - Software Product Description:
"Network Control Program
The Network Control Program (NCP) performs three primary functions: displaying statistics, controlling network components, and testing network components."

Update: DECnet/RSX uses 'NCP', too, in the same sense as VMS; see AA-H225F-TC_DECnet-RSX_V4.5_Network_Generation_and_Installation_Guide
