Please rename

As per the file TBASE.DOC I now think this page should be more properly name "Tymshare Base-Host Protocol" or something in that vein. The protocol between Tymnet nodes (or "engines"?) may or may not at some point have been similar to what is described here. But please keep a redirect since I have pointed a number of people to the old name. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 19:37, 28 April 2022 (CEST)

You should be able to do the rename of an ordinary article (categories are special). Just click on the "Move" tab at the top. Note that when the actual 'Move' page appears, with fields for the new name, etc, there's a check box to automagically set up a redirect (and also one to move this talk: page too). If you have any problems I will of course do whatever I can to help! Jnc (talk) 21:13, 28 April 2022 (CEST)
Ah, good, everything seems to have worked for you! I assume I can ditch the Talk: page redir? (They should have separate boxes for "Leave a main page redirect behind" and "Leave a Talk: page redirect behind"; the second will usually not be needed.) I assume nobody has a URL for that, which they expect to work? Jnc (talk) 22:55, 28 April 2022 (CEST)
Sure, delete that redir! Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 05:50, 29 April 2022 (CEST)
