Hey, thanks a bunch for your edits to the Wiki. Thanks also for the reverting of spammed contributions. I have blocked the users now. Cheers, -- Tore (talk) 14:58, 15 November 2010 (UTC)

Howdy, there's no need to edit a spammer's talk page, just list the user on my own talk page and i'll ban them. -- Lucky 06:54, 21 January 2011 (PST)

Spammers

Hey - as you can see, I've taken the step of disabling automatic user registration. Also, I have made my user a bot so that the spam cleanups won't affect the changelog. If you press "Show bot edits" you can indeed see that I have been blocking users left and right. Currently, I'm extremely busy but I check the recent changes several times per day and delete spam and block the remaining users who spam.

Future measures include setting up a captcha for user creation as well as performing a cleanup for the recent changes. -- Tore (talk) 03:41, 13 February 2011 (PST)

Porn redirects: Working on it

Hey. The virus infected large parts of the wiki. I'm working on fixing things, but it's 2 AM, I'm dead-tired. Hope you can forgive my postponing it until tomorrow. -- Tore (talk) 17:04, 6 March 2012 (PST)

DEC part numbers

Hi, please see Talk:List of DEC part numbers; you seem to have an interest in that topic? I've got a huge list, I started with a couple of lists I found online, and I've been adding to it for several years now. Jnc (talk) 14:39, 8 December 2015 (CET)

I was going through ebay and saw all these nice pictures + device types and though I'd record them somewhere as finding actual images and descriptions.. My interest was more so peripherals that SIMH emulates.

Kirk and his DVDs

"From Kirk's DVDs..."

"This is from Kirks' DVD set, one of the pre-built versions of Mach for the VAX."

I'll pay it. where? ForOldHack (talk) 22:39, 22 September 2019 (CEST) Vax emulation running BSD on a Mach microkernel? Take my money!!!!

Is the Kirk ... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marshall_Kirk_McKusick I saw him give multiple talks in Berkeley in regards to both Early BSD and early VAX. He put the video up on YouTube I think. ForOldHack (talk) 02:48, 26 September 2019 (CEST)

X10

Hello. Do you have X10 running on any emulated platform. I have been looking into CLU recently and I'd like to test the X10 CLU libraries and applications. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 16:13, 2 September 2021

Looks like X was first brought up on VAXstation 100 graphics terminals, which surprisingly aren't VAX. The "native CLU" compilers are for VAX and Sun 3 computers; the latter is supported by X10. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 08:05, 3 September 2021 (CEST)

Jim Gettys says he has old version of X, maybe going all the way back to version 1. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 19:18, 4 September 2021 (CEST)

Formatting stuff

See Talk:PS/2 Model 60 Sales Brochure for the answers about bold, underline, etc. (I'm not sure how closely you watch Special:RecentChanges - and there's a lot going on these days - hence the special 'heads up'! :-) Jnc (talk) 14:23, 24 August 2023 (CEST)
