The '''TU40 Magnetic Tape Transport''' was a 9-track auto-loading [[magnetic tape drive]] from [[Digital Equipment Corporation|DEC]]; the transport section was apparently [[Original Equipment Manufacturer|OEMed]] from Mohawk Data Sciences. It was used on the [[PDP-10]], using a [[TM10 Magnetic Tape Control]]).

The tape transport utilized a single capstan, with air bearings.
