VS40X-PA 8-plane GPX [[graphics]] option module, used in [[DEC]] [[VAXstation 2000]] and [[VAXstation 3100]] computers.

The VS40X-PA has got 8 planes and supports a [[resolution]] of 1024 x 864 60Hz.

There is a VS40-MA variant with 4 planes only.

Both the VS40X-PA and the VS40X-MA are software-compatible with the [[VCB02|VCB02 Video Controller]].
