Maze War is a video game first created for the Imlacs the NASA Ames Research Center. In 1974, Greg Thompson took it to the Dynamic Modeling group at MIT, where it was expanded into a multi-player game with a server running on ITS. Next, it was ported to the MagicSix operating system.
In 1977, it was rewritten for the Xerox Alto.
