VMS Software, Inc. (VSI) has taken over OpenVMS future development and support from Hewlett Packard, beginning in 2014.
VSI has begun porting OpenVMS to x86-64. The first Production Release of OpenVMS x86-64 V9.2-1 is planned for the end of 2022.
VSI continues OpenVMS support for the Alpha and Itanium platforms, but OpenVMS/VAX ownership and support still remains with Hewlett Packard.
