More labs?

I gather CMU was also quite early in the AI lab game, but somehow I never heard much about that one. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 07:45, 9 August 2023 (CEST)

I never heard much (anything?) about it back in the day. Which is not to say that it was not happening; just that I was not aware of it. I was vaguely aware that there was AI work going on elsewhere than just MIT and Stanford (maybe Yale?), but no details. But of course, I was not working in that technical area, so not too surprising.
In fact, we at MIT called the MIT lab just 'the AI lab', and the other one 'SAIL' (or maybe 'Stanford'). I have no idea what the people elsewhere called the MIT one. Jnc (talk) 12:19, 9 August 2023 (CEST)
