Template:My sandbox
So someone noticed you're using Template:My sandbox to create your user page; this is a slightly dodgy thing to do, using a system-wide space for personal stuff.
If you're using just using a template as a way to 'transclude' (the term Wikimedia uses for including one page's contents in another), the {{}} syntax can transclude pages/sub-pages from namespaces other than Template:, all one has to do is specify the namespace. So {{User:Dugo/My sandbox}} would do the exact same thing, but insert that sub-page of your User: page.
So, if you're OK with it, we'd like move that Template page (including all its history) to be a sub-page of your User: page, and adjust the latter to transclude if from there - unless there's some good reason we haven't understood why it's in Template:.
If this is OK, I'll do it for you (as an admin I can get rid of the leftover redirects, etc); just let us know. Thanks! Jnc (talk) 14:16, 9 April 2019 (CEST)
- Go ahead jnc. It has been years ago I took notes on the fuzzballs, but I'm sure it was just that and not my idea for a system-wide template. Dugo (talk) 00:23, 11 April 2019 (CEST)
Running Fuzzball etc
I'm also interested in this. Any progress? Here's what I collected; feel free to suggest additions: https://github.com/pdp11/fuzzball-operating-system
There's also somewhat similar network-oriented systems ELF and NSWIT which I'll try some time; those also boot from RT-11. Also MOS operating system with its TIU. PRNET revival anyone? Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 14:23, 8 February 2025 (CET)
