* '''Red links in navigation boxes''' - Unwritten articles in navigation boxes not only look ugly (well, ''I'' think they do), they also fill up [[Special:WantedPages]] with lots of spurious 'high-priority' (from lots of links to them) entries. Can I plead with people not to fill out navigation boxes with links to un-written articles? (A month or two of delay in writing them is OK; but please don't just leave them forever, and never get a 'round tuit'.) I have commented out all the links to un-written articles in our current navigation boxes (list of them [https://gunkies.org/w/index.php?title=Special%3APrefixIndex&prefix=Template%3ANav%20&namespace=0&hideredirects=1 here]), where they will wait for the articles to be written.   • Downtime - Unfortunately, I was hospitalized with severe health issues just as this site was having some major difficulties. I am very sorry that it's taken this long and that I've been so bad at communicating - but now a lot of technical debt has been paid down, and I am beginning a dialog to work out how to ensure the site is not so dependent on me so this doesn't happen again. -- Tore (talk) 00:21, 2 September 2026 (UTC)
  • Orphans - If you look at the list of orphaned pages, we have quite a few - and I have just done a lot of work reducing the number. If you create a page, you will know it is there - but others probably will not, unless it is linked to by something else. Please make doing that a part of your routine!
