* Bitsavers re-organization, and External links here - The file hierarchy at Bitsavers has undergone some re-organization (particularly for UNIBUS and QBUS items). So, many of our 'External links' links which go to Bitsavers are no longer working. I am checking through External links search, and will track them all down and update them - but it will probably take a while (we have a lot of Bitsavers links).
: Linking to Bitsavers is still, I feel, to be preferred over the use of other external sources for documents, because Bitsavers is associated with the Computer History Museum, which is a fairly substantial institution, and thus less likely to vanish with no warning (as Antonio's collection at Manx did - something else I need to clean up). So, if there is a choice between two copies of something, one on a personal site, and the other on Bitsavers, the one on Bitsavers should always be preferred, I reckon. * Downtime - Unfortunately, I was hospitalized with severe health issues just as this site was having some major difficulties. I am very sorry that it's taken this long and that I've been so bad at communicating - but now a lot of technical debt has been paid down, and I am beginning a dialog to work out how to ensure the site is not so dependent on me so this doesn't happen again. -- Tore (talk) 00:21, 2 September 2026 (UTC)

* Orphans - If you look at the list of orphaned pages, we have quite a few - and I have just done a lot of work reducing the number. If you create a page, you will know it is there - but others probably will not, unless it is linked to by something else. Please make doing that a part of your routine! • Bitsavers re-organization, and External links here - The file hierarchy at Bitsavers has undergone some re-organization (particularly for UNIBUS and QBUS items). So, many of our 'External links' links which go to Bitsavers are no longer working. I am checking through External links search, and will track them all down and update them - but it will probably take a while (we have a lot of Bitsavers links).
Linking to Bitsavers is still, I feel, to be preferred over the use of other external sources for documents, because Bitsavers is associated with the Computer History Museum, which is a fairly substantial institution, and thus less likely to vanish with no warning (as Antonio's collection at Manx did - something else I need to clean up). So, if there is a choice between two copies of something, one on a personal site, and the other on Bitsavers, the one on Bitsavers should always be preferred, I reckon.
