A grant continuity card is used in some buses which use bus grant lines as part of their interrupt- or DMA-handling mechanisms. They go in otherwise-empty slots in the backplane, and carry the bus grant signal from the 'in' pins to the 'out' pins in the slot. DEC's UNIBUS and QBUS use them.
