DMF32 Multi-Function Communications Interface: Difference between revisions

The DMF32 is "three UNIBUS controllers in one module":

a controller with eight asynchronous serial line interfaces (thereof two with modem control and split baud rates)
a controller with a single synchronous serial line interface, e.g. for DDMCP
a controller with a parallel interface (DR11-C compatible) alternatively usable as a printer interface

It covers all kinds of communication (except for Ethernet) in only one UNIBUS slot.

The DMF32 was introduced with VMS V3.0, and it is supported on VAX computers only.
