Correct name for this category
So, DEC didn't seem to have a plural for 'VAX'; I searched high and wide, but they always seemed to use 'VAX systems' or 'VAX computers' when they needed a plural. The thing is, other line-specific categories in Category:DEC Architectures use the plural form: Category:PDP-10s, Category:PDP-11s, etc. So, we have three choices here:
- stay with Category:VAXen (common among users, but not formal)
- use Category:VAX (singular, doesn't follow our canonical form)
- use Category:VAX Computers (clunky, and as a two-word name, also doesn't follow our canonical form, but follows DEC precedent)
I'm not sure what to do (although I lean towards #2 or #3); I'd love to hear what others think. Jnc (talk) 12:28, 2 June 2024 (CEST)
