Batch Processing

I'd like to separate "Batch" / "Batch Processing" from "Batch operating system".

Rationale:

There is batch processing in a lot of interactive operating systems (e.g. in VMS), too.

The last sentence in page "Batch":

"With the advent of time-sharing and virtual memory, all modern OS's tend to have the capability to run jobs in batch mode, and so specialized batch OS's have now faded out."

is not enough I think.

There should be more about batch processing in interactive operating systems resp. batch processing in general.

One could get the impression that "Batch" solely means "Batch operating system". Vaxorcist (talk) 14:27, 9 September 2022 (CEST)
