Bummer. Did you ever read Did the Universe Just Happen?, by Robert Wright? It started as a long interview with Fredkin, and it's basically about Fredkin's cosmology (which is basically that at the the bottom layer, reality is a cellular automaton, not fields). It does have a lot about his personal story, including a lot about III. Jnc (talk) 17:11, 30 June 2023 (CEST)
