Fusible link

Fusible links are elements found in some configurable/programmable integrated circuits. They use the basic principle of the fuse to leave made, or break, conductors inside the chip.
The technology was first developed for use in PROMs; it later appeared in other configurable devices, such as Programmable Array Logic.
