IBM 700 series

The IBM 700 series was IBM's first generation of computers. They all used vacuum tubes for the logic; initial models used Williams tube electrostatic main memory, but all later models switched to core memory.
At this point in time, computers for scientific and business computing used separate instruction sets, so there were two independent lines of models:
