Olivetti

Olivetti S.p.A. is a manufacturer of various office products, e.g. typerwriters, established in 1908. It lives on today as a subsidiary of Telecom Italia (since 2003). In the context of the Computer History Wiki this article only focuses on the vintage computer aspect of the company's production.

Olivetti wordprocessors
Olivetti also produced a range of integrated typewriters, these were CP/M or MS-DOS computers with built-in daisy-wheel printers and CRT or other display. All of the models listed below have an integrated or connected printer.
- ETV 240 CP/M, Z80, one 3.5" floppy drive
- ETV 250 Same as ETV 240, but with two floppy drives
- ETV 300 CP/M, Z80, one or two 5 1/4" floppy drives, keyboard/printer a separate unit from the computer itself which is in the M24 form factor
- ETV 350 Smaller version of ETV 300, and with 3.5" floppy drives
- ETV 260 MS-DOS, 8088, fully integrated with printer, internally the computer was an M19. Two 3.5" floppy drives, 20MB harddisk. 1986/1987
- ETV 2700 MS-DOS, NEC V240, modern version of ETV 260 1989
- ETV 2900 MS-DOS, compatible with ETV 2700
- ETV 4000S Looks much as ETV 2700 but with mouse, handscanner, colour monitor and GUI. 1991
The ETV 240/250/260/2700/2900 and 4000S models kept the monitor on an arm mounted to the desktop.
