PLATO date
There's a claim the PLATO plasma display was invented in 1964. This is probably true for the underlying technology, but not a useful 512x512 display. For the purpose of this wiki page, maybe 1972 would be more appropriate; see e.g. https://www.historyofinformation.com/detail.php?id=2430 Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 09:13, 16 September 2021 (CEST)
- Concur. The 'Friendly Orange Glow' book on PLATO has a lot of detail about the display development, and probably has exact dates. I'll look. Jnc (talk) 14:48, 16 September 2021 (CEST)
- Yeah, pg. 110 talks about the first non-trivial prototype. Jnc (talk) 18:55, 16 September 2021 (CEST)
- Thanks! Still very early. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 20:02, 16 September 2021 (CEST)
