Cabinet

A cabinet, in older DEC computers, is a metal enclosure (usually in the form of a standard-sized rack) which is designed to hold a backplane (holding a number of printed circuit boards) and peripherals (usually physically smaller disk and magnetic tape drives). The cabinet often includes a power supply, although those are sometimes mounted externally to the cabinet.
