The EMIDEC 1100 (the name was given as Emidec 1100 in some contemporaneous documentation; it was later re-badged as the ICT 1101) was a 36-bit computer, launched in 1959 by the British company EMI Electronics. It was claimed to be "the first large transistor computer in the world to go into operation for business use". The first was delivered in 1960; there would be 24 in total.
