Talk:MicroPDP-11

Correct name?

There's some contradiction in DEC documentation as to what the correct name for this is. The:

• MicroPDP-11 System Unpacking and Installation Guide
• MicroPDP-11 System Technical Manual 1984
• MicroPDP-11 Systems Technical Manual 1985
• MICRO/PDP-11 Handbook 1983-84

all call it 'MICRO/PDP-11' (in the text, which I regard as using the 'official' name; I do not consider the name as given on the title page as the best guide to that, as it may have additional capitalization), but the MicroPDP-11 Systems Maintenance Guide calls it 'MicroPDP-11'.

I don't care which we use (I'm actually quite happy with 'MicroPDP-11'), but I thought I would bring it up. Jnc (talk) 20:18, 10 September 2024 (CEST)

It's just one more case of contradictions in DEC documentation, and I don't care too much about it. Let's stick to 'MicroPDP-11'.
