CAL Time-Sharing System

The CAL Time-Sharing System (usually given as CAL-TSS) was an unsuccessful time-sharing operating system for the CDC 6400 written by a team at the Campus Computer Center at the University of California, Berkeley.
Design commenced in June 1968; implementation began in December 1968, and a prototype version of the system was running in July 1969. By October 1969 the system was self-supporting. It was cancelled in November 1971 when funding was terminated.
