A DIP switch is a group of switches fabricated into a Dual Inline Package. The switches generally connect a pin on one side to the opposite pin; they are activated by small rocking levers. The most common sizes contain 7, 8 and 10 switches (and twice that many pins), in common with integrated circuits.
