The General Electric 600 series was family of program compatible machines intended primarily for aerospace and military applications. It included:

  • A-605
  • M-605
  • M-625
  • GE-625
  • GE-635

The GE-625 and GE-635 were larger machines intended for doing software development; the finished code would then be run on installations of the smaller ones.

The GE-645, created especially for the Multics project, although based on the GE-635, was not really a member of the family, as its object code was not compatible with them.
