The PDP-11 Commercial Instruction Set is an extension to the PDP-11 architecture which provides instructions for string manipulation and also for variable-length numbers (up to 32 digits) in binary-coded decimal.
The only machines which support it are the PDP-11/44 and the KDF11 CPUs.
