The '''Nova''' was [[Data General]]'s first product, a 16-[[bit]] [[minicomputer]]. It had a [[load-store architecture]], with 4 [[accumulator]]s. There were separate 8/16-bit [[bus]]ses to [[main memory]] and [[peripheral]]s.
 
It was constructed out of 15"x15" [[printed circuit board]]s, which was somewhat larger than what its main competitor, [[Digital Equipment Corporation|DEC]], was using at the time, giving it a manufacturing cost advantage.

The Nova was Data General's first product, a 16-bit minicomputer. It had a load-store architecture, with 4 accumulators. There were separate 8/16-bit busses to main memory and peripherals.

It was constructed out of 15"x15" printed circuit boards, which was somewhat larger than what its main competitor, DEC, was using at the time, giving it a manufacturing cost advantage.
