Maze War is a video game first created for the Imlac PDS-1's at the NASA Ames Research Center. In 1974, Greg Thompson took it to the Dynamic Modeling group at MIT, where it was expanded into a multi-player game with a server running on an ITS mainframe. Next, it was ported to the MagicSix operating system.
In 1977, it was re-written for the Xerox Alto.
