For a while the VAX was the primary platform for BSD unix. Starting with the arrival of AT&T's 32v, which was modified into 3 BSD, and then the 4 BSD releases..
CSRG Versions
After the breakup of the CSRG, and with the release of Net2 on the internet, BSD was then ported back to the VAX in the following projects.
