The FP750 Floating-Point Accelerator was an optional floating point accelerator for the VAX-11/750's KA750 CPU; some integer instructions were sped up by it as well. The floating point instructions were performed by the microcode when the FP750 was not installed.
It was implemented on one extended hex card, the L0001 FPA Floating Point Accelerator (FPA), which mounted in the VAX-11/750 backplane in slot 1.
