The Motorola MC68010 was the second member of the Motorola M68000 Family] of VLSI microprocessors. One packaging was pin-compatible with the earlier Motorola MC68000; the only major difference was that it fixed the MC68000's major failing, that it could not support virtual memory. It also made minor changes to make it possible to support virtualization.
