Limitations

The major limitation of early versions of AIX, on the IBM PC RT, were that the hardware was slow and late, and ran under a VRM, Virtual Resource Manager, which made the First commercial 32 bit RISC machine both slow, slower, and "It suffered from the expected limitations of a first release."

Version 1.3 Ran on the PS/2 Model 80 ( 16 amd 20 Mhz 80386 ), and the IBM 750C Laptop.
