The Nova was Data General's first product, a 16-bit minicomputer. It had a load-store architecture, with 4 accumulators. There were separate 8/16-bit busses to main memory and peripherals.

It was constructed out of 15"x15" printed circuit boards, which was somewhat larger than what its main competitor, DEC, was using at the time, giving it a manufacturing cost advantage.
