The MIT Laboratory for Computer Science (commonly known as LCS) was the successor organization within MIT to Project MAC, some years after the AI Lab split from the former. It too was housed in Technology Square.

The two Labs eventually re-united in 2003, forming the MIT Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence Laboratory.
