: Yes; you can link to headings within a page: if you have a header 'XX' on page 'YY', say <nowiki>[[YY#XX]]</nowiki> to link to XX. E.g. [[VAX-11/780#Subsystems]] goes to the 'Subsystems' section. You can wide the details with the usual <nowiki>[[foo|bar]]</nowiki> syntax, e.g. [[VAX-11/780#Subsystems|like this]]. I'll add that to the [[Help:Basic MediaWiki Syntax|help]] page. Link into a page, particularly into the table of DEC chips

Is it possible to link "into" a certain position/section of page, particularly into a certain row of the table of DEC chip on this page? Vaxorcist (talk) 10:13, 14 August 2022 (CEST)

Yes; you can link to headings within a page: if you have a header 'XX' on page 'YY', say [[YY#XX]] to link to XX. E.g. VAX-11/780#Subsystems goes to the 'Subsystems' section. You can wide the details with the usual [[foo|bar]] syntax, e.g. like this. I'll add that to the help page. Jnc (talk) 16:15, 14 August 2022 (CEST)
