The Unix Heritage Society is a group dedicated to preserving ancient UNIX versions.
It was founded by Warren Toomey who's work is known for the apout simulator, and coordinating the effort to save a printout of the v1 research UNIX kernel.
TUHS is known for its great mailing list, and of course the archives.
