The EF53 is the largest size drive of DEC’s first generation of solid state disks packaged in a full-height, 5 1⁄4-inch form factor. The EF53 comes without a data retention system (for use if power is lost), with a paired magnetic storage disk.
Apart from the DSSI interface, the EF53 disk drive is identical to the EZ53 Solid State Disk Drive.
