LINC Tape II was a descendant of the original LINC tape; it was made by Computer Operations, Inc. Compared to the original, it had an expanded capacity; up to 656 blocks of 256 16-bit words, on a 260 feet tape. In addition, the data tracks could be used in either "A/A mode" for robustness via redundancy, or "A/B mode" for doubled capacity without redundancy.
