How should we best separate this DDT from CP/M DDT (Dynamic Debugging Tool)? Tor (talk) 13:36, 7 October 2019 (CEST)

I would suggest this page be for all debuggers named DDT or similar, and those having a similar user interface to a DDT. So there could be separate sections for "DEC" style DDT and the CP/M DDT. If the page becomes too long or cluttered, split off separate pages. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 13:45, 7 October 2019 (CEST)+
Concur. I wonder if the CP/M one's name was inspired by the original (even if the command set was different)? I suppose it's possible they came up with the name completely independently (the name is obviously a play on the insecticide), but I wouldn't bet on that. Jnc (talk) 13:54, 7 October 2019 (CEST)
I don't know much about CP/M, but in my impression is seems largely inspired by TOPS-10 and/or similar DEC systems. I would think it highly likely Digital Research knew about the DEC family of DDTs. Larsbrinkhoff (talk) 13:59, 7 October 2019 (CEST)
