Type 340 Precision Incremental Display

The Type 340 Precision Incremental Display from DEC was a monochrome vector graphics system, including a large CRT display, along with an associated device controller made out of System Modules. (It was the successor to the Type 30 Precision CRT Display.) It was typically interfaced to a PDP-1, -4, -6 or -7.

It is capable of drawing points, straight lines, curved lines, and characters. The display program (limited to an array of command words) could be read with DMA; standard in the PDP-4 and -7, optional in the -1. (Connection to the PDP-6 required a 344 Interface.) It could also use an optional light pen, the Type 370 Light Pen.
