The KA640 is the CPU used in MicroVAX 3300/3400 systems. It uses the KA650 Main Memory System, includes built-in DSSI and Ethernet interfaces, and provides a QBUS for general I/O capabilities.

Physically, it is a single quad-height PCB which plugs into a QBUS backplane. The KA640 module number is M7624.
