IMP interface

An IMP interface is a device attached to an ARPANET host to communicate with an IMP. The communication interface, the Host-to-IMP Protocol, is specified in BBN Report No. 1822.

- MIT KA IMP, used by MIT-AI, -ML, and -MC.
- ACC LH/DH, UNIBUS.
- DEC CSS IMP11-A, UNIBUS.
- Stanford 1822 Interface, UNIBUS (via a DR11-C) and QBUS (via a DRV11)
- GIMPSPIF, used by 645 Multics.
- ABSI, used by 6180 Multics.
